Via the National Alliance for Caregiving:

The National Alliance for Caregiving has partnered with the National Coalition on Aging on a series of resources for family caregivers of older adults. Many caregivers may not realize that 1 in 4 adults over the age of 65 falls every year, injuring themselves and often exacerbating other conditions of aging. The guide is intended to serve as a tool of empowerment for caregivers. It can be used by those caring for someone who has had a fall, is experiencing decreased mobility, is unsteady on their feet, or is fearful of falling. It can also help with creating a falls prevention action plan
