Kathleen Hoffmann, Attorney
Kathleen did her undergraduate work at Wellesley College, Massachusetts, graduating summa cum laude with a degree in anthropology. In college, she spent her junior year conducting ethnographic fieldwork on notions of justice and studying abroad in West Africa and Eastern Europe. After college, Kathleen returned to Minneapolis and spent a year doing research on procedural fairness in the court system and interning in Hennepin County Family and Civil court.
Kathleen attended law school at the University of Minnesota, where she served as public defender for two years in the Indian Child Welfare Act Clinic as a certified student attorney. She also served on the ABA Journal of Labor & Employment Law and received awards for her writing on South Korean Rule of Law. She graduated cum laude and passed the Minnesota Bar in 2017.
After law school, Kathleen clerked for the Honorable Tracy M. Smith at the Minnesota Court of Appeals. After her clerkship, she spent a little over year doing civil litigation at a large national law firm.
Kathleen lives in St. Louis Park with her husband, Jon, and parti poodle, Bailey. Whenever possible, they love to be outdoors. They are also passionate travelers and always planning their next adventure.
